Everyone is welcome to come help us clean up the trash along Bellevue Creek from the pond to the Varney Court bridge. The City provides garbage bags– wear appropriate footwear and bring work gloves! We’ll do it rain or shine!

In March 2026, the City of Kelowna recognized The Friends of Woodhaven Nature Conservancy as the official stewards of a section of Bellevue Creek under their Adopt-a-Stream program! We clean up the trash along the creek twice a year and have been doing this for over two years. The City installed a sign acknowledging our stewardship. Keep in touch and join us for our spring and fall clean ups.

A tribute to our friend and former caretaker of Woodhaven, Lori Mairs. Lori Mairs (1961-2021) lived in the forest cabin, caring for the Woodhaven Nature Conservancy, for 15 years. She was an ecological artist, a writer, a personal growth consultant, and a treasured member at large with our Friends of Woodhaven executive. Lori shared many gifts with us, always leading by example.
